Social Responsibility Policy
To ensure working conditions to its employees, Beraca is committed to implement the Social Responsibility Policy requirements from SA 8000, consisting of:
- Being committed to meet the SA 8000 requirements, 2001 edition - "Social Accountability 8000";
- Do not use child labor and foster the education and safety of young workers (between 16 and 18 years);
- Do not practice, accept or collude with any type of forced labor;
- Keeping a healthy and safe work environment;
- Respecting employee rights to association and collective bargaining;
- Neither practicing nor tolerating any kind of discrimination;
- Not practicing, and preventing unfair disciplinary actions, coercion, threat, or exploitation to employees;
- Complying with the law and collective bargaining for remuneration; according to the minimum standards of the industry, and ensuring the basic living needs of its employees;
- Rigorously complying with the legislation, in particular with the Labor Rights and the International Labor Conventions;
- Continuously improving the Social Responsibility System, including, where applicable, its suppliers.
